What are the workspace roles?

Admin, Full Access, Edit & Share, and Edit — what each can do.

Updated 24 Aug 2026

Everyone in a workspace has one of four roles. Roles control what a person can do — not what they’re billed (you’re billed for storage, not seats).

The four roles

  • Admin — the workspace owner. Full control: everything below, plus workspace settings, billing, custom fields, and branding.
  • Full Access — near-owner. Can create and delete projects, manage members, and manage every asset and folder.
  • Edit & Share — can upload, comment, approve, create folders, and create external share links.
  • Edit — can upload, comment, and approve, and can delete their own uploads. Cannot create external share links or delete other people’s work.

Choosing a role

Give clients and casual reviewers a light role (or just a share link — no account needed). Give trusted editors Edit or Edit & Share. Reserve Full Access for people who help you run the workspace.
