What file types can I upload?

Editlock accepts common video, audio, and image formats.

Best-supported formats

• Video — MP4 (H.264) plays back most reliably across browsers.
• Audio — MP3, WAV, and M4A.
• Images — JPG, PNG, and WebP.

If a file is rejected

It’s almost always an unsupported format or codec. Re-export from your editor to MP4 (video), MP3 or WAV (audio), or JPG / PNG (image) and try again.

A file uploaded but won’t play

This usually means the container is fine but the video codec isn’t browser-friendly. Re-export as MP4 / H.264. Related: My upload failed or is stuck.
