How do I set workspace-wide security defaults?

Require passphrases, set default expiry, and limit reviewer domains.

Updated 24 Aug 2026

Admins can set security defaults that apply to every new share — so protection isn’t left to memory. Open Settings → Content Security.

What you can set

  • Require passphrase — every new share must have a passphrase. A hard rule, not just a default.
  • Default expiry — new shares start with an expiry date pre-filled.
  • Default downloads — whether new shares allow downloads by default.
  • Allowed email domains — restrict who can identify into a share to specific work-email domains (e.g. only @clientco.com). Leave empty to allow anyone.

These are workspace-wide defaults; you can still adjust individual shares within what the rules allow.
