Frame.io pricing in INR: what Indian teams actually pay in 2026

Frame.io is priced per member in US dollars, so the real monthly bill for an Indian studio is higher than the sticker. Here's the rupee math — and the flat-INR alternative.

Frame.io has no rupee price list — it bills per member in US dollars, and Adobe adds Indian tax on top. So the number an Indian studio actually pays is the per-seat USD rate, multiplied by everyone on a paid seat, converted at today’s exchange rate, plus 18% GST. Once you run that math, the “cheap” plan is rarely cheap.

The published Frame.io plans (USD)

As of October 2026, Frame.io’s public pricing is:

PlanPrice (USD)MembersStorage
Free$0Up to 22 GB
Pro$15 / member / month + taxUp to 52 TB
Team$25 / member / month + taxUp to 153 TB
EnterpriseCustomCustomCustom

Two things to notice before you convert anything. First, the price is per member, not per account — every editor on a seat multiplies it. Second, there’s a ”+ tax” line, which for Indian customers is 18% GST.

The same plans in rupees

At roughly ₹96 to the US dollar (mid-October 2026) and 18% GST, the per-member cost works out to about:

  • Pro — $15 → ~₹1,440, plus GST ≈ ₹1,700 per member / month
  • Team — $25 → ~₹2,400, plus GST ≈ ₹2,830 per member / month

Exchange rates move and so can Frame.io’s pricing, so treat these as close estimates and check the live figure before you buy. But the shape doesn’t change: you’re paying a dollar rate that the rupee has been drifting against for years, and the tax is on top, not included.

Where the real bill lands

Nobody runs a review tool with one person. A small studio with three people on paid seats — say two editors and a producer — on the Team plan is looking at roughly 3 × ₹2,830 ≈ ₹8,500 per month. Five seats on Pro lands in the same ₹8,000–8,500 range. That’s before you hit the member caps (Pro stops at 5, Team at 15) and have to jump a tier.

And that’s only the invoice. Per-seat pricing has a second cost most teams underprice: because every seat is money, you ration who gets in. Clients review through a middleman or a downloaded file, feedback scatters across WhatsApp and email, and you lose unpaid hours stitching it back onto the timeline. We broke that down in the real cost of per-seat video review.

The flat-INR alternative

The reason per-seat hurts in India is that it charges you for people. Editlock charges for storage instead — you pick a tier by how much you keep, and every reviewer and client is unlimited and free, forever.

In rupees, all-inclusive (no separate GST line, no forex):

  • Free — ₹0, 2 GB, run the whole review flow
  • Starter — ₹599 / month, 150 GB, up to 5 members
  • Studio — ₹1,699 / month, 500 GB, up to 15 members
  • Pro — ₹2,999 / month, 1 TB, up to 25 members

So the three-person studio paying ~₹8,500/month on Frame.io Team maps to Editlock Studio at ₹1,699/month flat — same team, every client free, and the bill only moves when your library grows, not when your crew does.

How to actually compare

Don’t compare the headline per-seat number. Do this:

  1. Count real seats. Write down everyone who’ll touch a live project on a paid seat.
  2. Convert honestly. Multiply the USD rate by that count, by today’s ₹/$ rate, then add 18%.
  3. Price the flat tier against it. On a storage plan, reviewers and clients are free, so you’re only paying for the editors plus the space.

For most Indian freelancers and small studios, the flat rupee tier is both smaller and simpler. You can see the full Editlock pricing — including a free tier that runs the entire review-and-approve flow — and the side-by-side Frame.io comparison.
